I think of all the places we've visited, the Isles of Scilly has been the most surprising.  It may well be that because we had such good weather for our stay, that it made the whole holiday seem like a dream.

The IOS are just amazing.  I still struggle to believe that they are part of the UK - it wouldn't be hard to believe that they were in the Caribbean, although the sea isn't quite as warm.  We opted to fly out of Land's End and it just couldn't be more different than flying out of Heathrow or Gatwick.  It was amazing.  I hadn't bargained for such a small weight limit though: I had to ditch half my clothing so I could take my camera gear.  I also said to Darren that I'd like to have the window seat going out and he could have it coming back...well, we both got a window seat because it was only 2 seats wide :-)

I would holiday here every year if I could and I'm itching to go back.

We stayed in June 2018 and it's now nearly June 2021 - way too long a wait I think.

I would put the IOS in my top ten places I've travelled to.
