When I left Virgin Atlantic I was allowed to use my concessions for one year.  We were in need of a beach holiday and had never been to Mexico - more specifically to Cancun.  It wasn't a place I thought I would enjoy going to but I have to say, providing you accept it for what it is - a touristy beach resort - then it's absolutely wonderful.  We travelled here in 2016.  I didn't take many photos and have selected just a few - my favourites being the ones of the 'Old Lady' - what a character.

We did a couple of trips out;  one of which was to Chichen Itza.  We were there very early and I'm glad we opted for that early start because by the time we left at midday, not only was it boiling hot, but it was extremely busy.

Most of the 'snaps' were taken at the resort or at Chichen Itza.  I'd like to go back and explore more of the 'proper' Mexico but it's a little way down the list of places I'd like to go to in the future.
