Dartmoor has many facets and assets from deep wooded valleys, bleak moorland, pretty villages, woodlands and so on.  So  I called this page, simply, "Dartmoor - The Place" as I didn't want to be restricted to just 'landscape' images of Dartmoor but to reflect all the things, other than people or animals which are covered in another page, that I come across on my walks around the moors:  a plant, patterns and colours in a stream, a ruined building, a relic from the mining industry - expect to see anything and everything!
